The Merge: Ethereum devs confirm key dates

Ethereum’s long-awaited transition from Proof-of-Work (PoW) to Proof-of-Stake (PoS) via Merge is fast approaching.

As per the announcement, Ethereum has successfully handled the updates to all public testnets and all that is left is to activate the merge on the Beacon chain and then the Ethereum mainnet.

This will happen in two phases, including a Bellatrix and Paris upgrade, the first of which is expected to ship on September 6. The second upgrade, which will bring Ethereum fully to the PoS chain, will take place between September 10-20.
